Becoming Sexually Comfortable: A Workshop with Buck Angel Buck Angel will discuss his progression from being shy, inhibited, and uncomfortable in his own skin, to enjoying penetration in his personal life, to becoming comfortable enough to share his sexuality and his pussy with the world as the first FTM porn star. He will discuss finding your place in "transmen communities" while at the same time defining yourself for yourself. He will explain his own personal process around identity, gender and how he invented himself outside of the accepted norms of the "transmen community". Living in your body and getting the sex you want are at the top of the list when speaking to these issues. Buck Angel will then discuss the concept of being penetrated as a top: being serviced (rather than "bottoming"), and his sense that being penetrated has nothing to do with being female. Questions and answers and open discussion follow his talk.

Time: 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Location: Come As You Are, 701 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON

All genders welcome. $25 (sliding scale). To pre-register call 416-504-7934 or www.comeasyouare.com

Red Tent Sisters: April Book Club Meeting Join the Red Tent Sisters for a facilitated book club discussion of titles that explore or challenge our thinking about women's sexual and reproductive health. Membership is free and open. You need not have read the entire book - titles are generally non-fiction, with some exceptions, so reading a couple of chapters should give you enough of an introduction to the topic at hand to enable your participation in the group. Purchasing your title at Red Tent Sisters is appreciated, but not required.

This month's discussion: The Curse Confronting the Last Unmentionable Taboo: Menstruation, By Karen Houppert. (Women and Trans People Only). This highly readable book draws examples from films, books and advertisements to illustrate how menstruation is constructed as shameful and embarrassing. Houppert argues that the 'culture of concealment' is so pervasive that a woman is more likely to tell a co-worker about an affair than her period. In keeping with Houppert's effort to challenge propriety around menstrual discussion, please join us for an open, honest discussion under the red tent.

Time: 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Red Tent Sisters, 810 Danforth Ave. Toronto, ON
